A man wanted for the sexual abuse of a 3-year-old girl in 2018 in Villa 21/24 was captured in Paraguay after being a fugitive since 2020. The Regional Division 1 Alto ParanĂ¡ of Interpol in Paraguay recently detained a man in the Tres Fronteras neighborhood who had an international arrest warrant for the sexual abuse of a minor.

According to the accusation presented by the Prosecutor's Office, the accused was declared a fugitive in January 2020 after fleeing and is accused of sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl in 2018 in Villa 21/24. The capture took place in the municipality of Presidente Franco.

The Prosecutor's Office detailed that on the day of the abuse, the girl was with her mother and a neighbor in the access hallway to the house, disappearing from her mother's sight and later being found with the accused, showing signs of having been abused.

After filing the complaint, the girl was interviewed in a child-friendly interview room, where she coherently and in detail recounted the events, matching the complaint filed. In December 2020, while attempting to notify the accused about the case, it was discovered that he had moved to Paraguay, which led to his declaration as a fugitive and the issuance of an arrest warrant.

After confirming that the fugitive did not reside in Argentina, an international arrest was requested after discovering that he had been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Paraguay in November 2021. His location was established through an active phone line, and extradition is awaited for him to be tried in Argentina.
